Flare Study Project

Engineers in hard hats observing an active flare stack at a midstream facility, emphasizing Halker’s expertise in flare system analysis, emissions management, and safety-focused flare study evaluations for oil and gas operations.

As federal regulations continue to change and become more stringent, Oil and Gas companies must conform to these guidelines in order to stay compliant.

Flare System Retrofit

Field engineer observing an active flare stack alongside compressors and process equipment at a midstream facility, highlighting Halker’s expertise in flare system retrofits, combustion safety improvements, and emissions-compliant facility upgrades.

In 2015, a publicly traded pipeline transport company (“Client”), approached Halker Consulting (“Halker”) to evaluate a recently acquired gas plant.

Coal Additive System

Aerial view of a large coal-fired power generation facility with fuel handling infrastructure, stockpiles, and wastewater ponds, illustrating Halker’s engineering capabilities in coal additive systems, emissions reduction strategies, and operational performance optimization for industrial energy plants.

The client had developed a process to reduce emissions at a coal power plant in Arizona, but needed assistance with designing equipment to apply the materials.

Gas Compressor Station

High-pressure gas compressor station with interconnected process piping, vertical vessels, and structural platforms, demonstrating Halker’s expertise in midstream facility engineering, compressor optimization, and safe, reliable natural gas handling infrastructure.

As with many Halker customers, this Texas based organization was challenged with a lack of internal engineering resources to match their exploration and collection volumes and timeframe.

Multi-Well Site Facilities

Multi-well pad facility with rows of wellhead assemblies, flowlines, valves, and manifolds arranged on elevated steel supports, showcasing Halker’s engineering expertise in designing high-density upstream production sites optimized for reliability, flow management, and efficient field development.

The paradigm of American energy is undergoing a massive transformation. In addition to the evolution of renewable energy technologies, and the changes being driven by the consideration of climate issues, the oil and gas opportunities evolving within the United States could be the key factor in the country’s successful energy independence.
